After a regular season of scrambling for position, the MTAC Women's Volleyball Tournament seemed to line right up as Aaron Academy dominated, and teams 1-7 finished the tourney exactly as they had finished the season!
Friday night's double-elimination Final Four action saw Aaron suffer their 1 and only game loss to Currey Ingram before dispatching the Lady Mustangs, 3-1! Friday also saw Riverside Christian nip host Lancaster Christian before Lancaster eliminated Currey Ingram in a match that lasted until midnight, 3-2!
After many players spent their Saturday mornings taking the ACT, they hit the hardwood again where Riverside defeated Lancaster for the 4th time this season--this one in a classic 5 games, 3-2. But no team was a match for the undefeated Aaron Academy Royals, who moved to 19-0 on the season with a sweep victory to win the title, 3-0! The Royals will play in the National Home School Volleyball Tournament soon! You can follow their progress at www.nhsvt.org!
